SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to commence direct flights connecting Sharjah and Gdansk starting from Dec. 14, 2026, establishing a fresh link between the UAE and the northern region of Poland. The airline will operate a total of five weekly flights between Sharjah International Airport and Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport, with flights scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This new route will provide travelers from Poland’s Pomeranian region with a direct air connection to Sharjah.

Air Arabia sets five weekly Sharjah Gdansk flights
Sharjah-Gdansk service adds northern Poland to Air Arabia’s expanding route network.

On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs from Sharjah at 4 p.m. and arrives in Gdansk at 8 p.m. The return, G9 0629, leaves Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and reaches Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the following day. For flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, departures from Sharjah will be at 8:15 a.m., with returns departing Gdansk at 1:05 p.m. and arriving in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m.

Following the launch, Gdansk will become Air Arabia’s fourth destination in Poland from Sharjah, after the carrier’s planned December expansion takes effect. The airline already flies to Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport from its UAE hub and will begin service to Katowice on Dec. 17, 2026—three days after the Gdansk flights begin. The Katowice route will operate four times weekly, adding another Polish city to Air Arabia’s expanding route network.

Gdansk enhances direct flight options with northern Poland

The introduction of the Gdansk service adds a Baltic coast destination to Air Arabia’s European network from Sharjah. The airline also serves several prominent European cities, including Athens, Vienna, Prague, Milan, Munich, Rome, and London Gatwick. Gdansk Airport serves the wider Tri-City area, comprising Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, along with other parts of northern Poland. It offers both domestic and international connections for leisure and business travelers across the region.

Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive of Air Arabia, stated that Gdansk would strengthen the airline’s footprint in Poland. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, emphasized the direct link between the Pomeranian region and the UAE, noting that Sharjah is a transfer hub for onward flights to India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. Consequently, the new flights will connect Gdansk passengers with Air Arabia’s wider network via its Sharjah base.

Service to Gdansk to Launch with Five Flights Per Week in December

Air Arabia’s fleet, comprising Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, will operate the new route, with bookings now available. The airline lists flight G9 0628 for departures from Sharjah on Mondays and Saturdays, with the return flight G9 0629 scheduled accordingly. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, services will utilize flight G9 0626 from Sharjah and G9 0627 from Gdansk. All scheduled times are local, and the route will operate nonstop both ways.

The launch on Dec. 14 will expand Air Arabia’s direct Poland network shortly before the start of the Katowice service. With Krakow and Warsaw already on the schedule, these two December additions will give the airline four Polish destinations from Sharjah. Gdansk will operate five flights weekly, while Katowice will have four flights per week under the announced timetable. The airline maintains that the Gdansk route and its five weekly flights are confirmed to commence in December 2026.
