RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to resume its nonstop daily flights between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode starting October 16, 2026. This route reinstates a direct link between the UAE emirate and the southern Indian state of Kerala. Tickets are currently available through the airline’s sales channels. The flight will connect Ras Al Khaimah International Airport with Kozhikode International Airport. Air Arabia announced the schedule return on October 6.

Offering another direct connection between the UAE and India, the daily flights will provide passengers with increased travel options. Kozhikode, also called Calicut, is a significant city on Kerala’s Malabar Coast. The announcement did not specify departure or arrival times, nor did it mention which aircraft will operate the resumed flights. The airline has not yet published flight numbers for the October restart, but travelers can check current schedules when making reservations.
Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali expressed enthusiasm about bringing back the route, emphasizing that the daily flights would give customers a convenient link between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode. The airline also highlighted ongoing travel demand between the two locations. The announcement focused on connectivity, frequency, and the confirmed restart date, but did not include passenger projections or traffic estimates. No additional operational modifications were announced alongside the route resumption.
Daily Flights Broaden Ras Al Khaimah’s International Network
The return of the Kozhikode service will expand Ras Al Khaimah’s roster of international routes. Currently, Air Arabia lists Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar among its nonstop destinations from the emirate. Kozhikode will rejoin this network starting October 16. The airline began operations from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in May 2014, and since then, the emirate has remained one of its operational bases within the UAE.
The Kozhikode route was initially launched on November 22, 2023, offering three flights weekly on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. These flights were operated by Airbus A320 aircraft under flight numbers G9 728 and G9 729. The newly announced schedule will increase the service to a daily frequency, though the airline has not yet confirmed whether the same flight numbers will be used or provided operating times for the resumed flights.
Tickets Available for the October 16 Launch
Passengers can purchase tickets via the airline’s website, call center, or travel agencies, with these options confirmed alongside the route announcement. The airline has not disclosed when the original Kozhikode service was discontinued or explained the reason for the interruption. The announcement did not include starting fares or aircraft assignment details. The confirmed information covers the route pair, daily frequency, and the October 16 start date.
Nearly three years after its initial launch, the route will once again connect Ras Al Khaimah and Kerala without intermediate stops through daily flights replacing the previous three-times-weekly schedule. Passengers seeking precise flight times, fares, or flight numbers are encouraged to review current booking details prior to travel. No further operational changes to the Kozhikode route have been announced beyond the daily restart.
