SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to commence nonstop services from Sharjah International Airport to Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. The airline will operate this route four times each week, creating an additional direct link between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia connects Sharjah with Queen Alia International Airport, providing travelers with access to two airports in Amman. The new flights are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Flight G9 169 will leave Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrive in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return flight, G9 170, departs Amman at 11:20 a.m. and reaches Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Reservations are now available via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agency network. The route was announced on October 8, more than a month ahead of the first flight.
This new route from Sharjah broadens the existing network of Air Arabia Group in Jordan, which already includes flights from Abu Dhabi and Alexandria to Amman. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi connects Zayed International Airport with both Queen Alia International Airport and Amman City Airport. Additionally, the airline operates direct flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The expansion from Sharjah offers travelers more departure options to reach the Jordanian capital.
Second Jordanian airport joins Sharjah network
According to Air Arabia Group CEO Adel Al Ali, the new service provides travelers with an extra airport choice in Amman. He emphasized that the additional connection will enhance convenience and flexibility for passengers traveling between Jordan and the UAE. The airline will continue its existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, making Amman City Airport a secondary gateway in Jordan on the airline’s Sharjah route.
Earlier in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched flights to Amman City Airport, beginning on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. Prior to adding the second Amman airport, the Abu Dhabi operations already served Queen Alia International Airport. When the new service launched, Air Arabia announced a total of 10 weekly flights from Abu Dhabi to Amman. The airline’s two-airport approach will now extend to Sharjah as well.
Four weekly flights strengthen UAE-Jordan travel links
Throughout its schedule, the new Sharjah flights will operate under the G9 169 and G9 170 service codes. Air Arabia’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. The airline also offers SkyTime entertainment, SkyCafe onboard meal service, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Customers can reserve seats on the new Amman City Airport route via the airline’s regular sales channels ahead of the scheduled November start date.
The November launch enhances Air Arabia Group’s network connections between the UAE and Jordan via several bases. Sharjah passengers will have direct access to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Passengers from Abu Dhabi already enjoy service to both airports through Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, while Alexandria offers direct flights to Amman City Airport. The new route from Sharjah adds four weekly flights to the airline’s broader Jordan schedule.
